Assemblymember Gabryszak Recognizes Honor Students at St. Mary’s High School

Assemblymember Dennis Gabryszak (D-Cheektowaga) presented ten honor students at St. Mary’s High School in Lancaster with “Certificates of Merit” this morning in recognition of their high grade point averages.

The students that attended this morning’s meeting included freshmen Austin Calkins, Madison Fermo, Julie Pijacki, Victoria Powell, James Roetzer and sophomores David Filion, Hannah Gresham, Agatha Milholland, Kayla Murphy and Kaitlyn Tytka. The above mentioned had earned the highest overall GPA’s in their classes, respectively.

“I applaud these students for their hard work in achieving great report cards,” Assemblymember Gabryszak said. “These students set an example for fellow students and should be rewarded for their exemplary academic performance.”

The students had the opportunity to ask Assemblymember Gabryszak questions about his job and what it is like to be an assemblyman. Gabryszak noted that many friendships that he formed when he was a student Bishop Ryan High School continue today, and have been helpful with his career as a public official.
