Historica Polonia Tour Debuts this Weekend

Naked Buffalo Tours is debuts a new tour of Buffalo's Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood this weekend.  Historic Polonia will take place Saturday May 12 at 1pm. The tour starts inside the entrance to the Broadway Market and walks around the immediate neighborhood explotring the history of what was once the second largest business district in the county!

This tour runs every other Saturday. The company also will have Buffalo's Erie Canal Tour at 10am and Sunday tours. The website has a full calendar of events.

The Broadway Driving Range and Miniature Golf is now open everyday for the summer months. Western New York's Complete Family Fun Center includes the 18 Hole Miniature Golf course (handicapped accessible), 350+ Driving Range with natural and covered turf tees, and a 11,000 sq ft Party Corral, Picnic Shelter for corporate events, family outings, field trips and parties.

Special events include a Mother's & Father's Day Special, Miniature Golf Tournament, Free Outdoor Family Movie Night, Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Golf, and a Closest to Pin Competition.

Also open is the Green Acres Ice Cream stand, which serves the largest variety of real soft serve custard, hard ice cream, Wow Cow, cakes and iced beverages. Visit during Mother's Day or Father's Day and take away a free cone for mom or dad!

Energy costs can be crippling, causing managers and business owners to cut back so they can stay afloat. The ReCharge NY Program will help keep businesses profitable and workers in their jobs. Under this program, the New York Power Authority (NYPA) will provide low-cost power to businesses and not-for-profits who, in return, agree to commit to job creation and retention. In the 143rd Assembly District, 10 businesses will receive low cost power that will help these businesses create and retain jobs,

The ReCharge New York picks up right where its predecessor, Power for Jobs, left off. And even better, this program is permanent and leaves no gaps in coverage for businesses to fill. It is expected to aid in the creation and retention of 2,300 jobs in our community.

Assemblymember Gabryszak Says 10 Local Businesses Qualify for ReCharge NY

Assemblymember Dennis H. Gabryszak (D-Cheektowaga) announced that 10 businesses in the 143rd Assembly District will receive capital investments through the ReCharge New York (RNY) program, which will help create and maintain over 2,300 local jobs. Assemblymember Gabryszak helped pass this important measure during last year’s legislative session.

“It is vital that we do everything we can to create and keep jobs here in Western New York during these tough economic times,” Assemblymember Gabryszak said. “The ReCharge New York program will provide local businesses and organizations with affordable energy, which will allow for the hiring of new employees and will help improve our local economy.”
