The Church of the Annunciation in Elma will host a unique three-day parish mission with actor Mark Price at 7 p.m. April 3-5 in the church, located at 7580 Clinton St.

The theme for this three-day parish retreat is transformation, and three individuals who experienced transformation — St. Thomas, St. Paul and St. Francis — will be brought to life in Bible-based theatrical presentations. As Price brings these key figures of history to life, they will speak to you about their lives and experiences with Jesus. 

The events are free and open to the public; a free will offering would be appreciated.

Celebrating 23 years of fine art and artisans, Springtime in the Country returns to the Event Center at the Hamburg Fairgrounds from Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2. And this year, Springtime in the Country has expanded to include a Spring Market, a unique retail addition featuring all that we love about the season — fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, specialty foods, craft wineries, brewers and distillers, food trucks, mobile kitchens and much more!

Jamestown, NY – Entries have begun to arrive for Audubon Community Nature Center’s 2017 Nature Photography Contest.

Now in its seventh year, the competition is designed to encourage anyone who enjoys doing photography – from beginners to professionals – to enter their images for consideration.

“The Photo Contest helps us fulfill our mission of connecting people with nature in two ways,” said Audubon Photo Contest Coordinator Ruby Miller. “The photographer experiences nature while shooting pictures and the viewer becomes inspired to connect with nature when looking at the often stunning results.”

Prizes are awarded in four categories and two divisions. The Youth Division is for ages 8-18 or still in high school; Adult is 18 and over or post-high school.
