Winter Market at Horsefeathers Lists Jan. 25 Events

 

The popular Winter Market at Horsefeathers will continue its successful run on Saturday, Jan. 25. The indoor market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through May 3 and occupies portions of the first floor and lower level of the Horsefeathers Market & Residences, located at 346 Connecticut St. on Buffalo’s West Side. 

Community Beer Works, Buffalo’s first nanobrewery, is the newest vendor to join the market. Providing musical entertainment will be singer/guitarist Don Z.

Several classes and events are planned throughout the first two months of the new year at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca.

Another Wine, Women & Art class with artist Andrea Oswald will take place Thursday evening, Jan. 16, at the gallery. Participants will create an 11x14 painting using one-stroke brush strokes as part of the composition. The fee is $25, and all supplies are included. Guests will sip a little wine, taste a few goodies, have some "girl talk" and enjoy a girl's night out! Please call to reserve your seat.

Press Raw Food & Juice, a specialty store for individuals interested in raw vegan and healthy food choices, will be the latest business to join the Grant Street revitalization when it opens for business on Thursday, Dec. 19. The food retailer and take-out shop is located at 197 Grant St. on Buffalo’s West Side.

“Press specializes in organic cold-pressed juices and raw organic foods,” said owner and executive chef Esther Pica. “We are, I think, the first in Buffalo to offer an entirely raw, vegan, organic and gluten-free menu. We’re sure that the demand is here.”

The popular Winter Market at Horsefeathers is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through May 3 and occupies portions of the first floor and lower level of the Horsefeathers Market & Residences, located at 346 Connecticut St. on Buffalo’s West Side. Come on out and stock up for the holiday season!

The market features farm-fresh produce as well as hand-crafted and locally produced products from approximately 20 vendors. Guests of the market can also become better acquainted with the establishment’s permanent businesses, including The Pasta Peddler, Blackbird Sweets, Jolie’s Traditional Chinese, Chow Chocolat and Martin Cooks restaurant.
