Canadian Celtic Choir Plans Christmas Event in London

 

Nearby London, Ontario, will host the Canadian Celtic Choir for “An English Christmas” for two shows on Saturday, Dec. 20! Performances are scheduled for 2 and 7 p.m. in London’s Aeolian Hall, located at 795 Dundas St. E.

The Canadian Celtic Choir will perform under the direction of William W. Zadorsky, accompanied by Jean Willadsen and special emcee Paul Grambo. The choir features more than 50 voices and was founded in 1996 to sing and promote Celtic choral music and culture in Southwestern Ontario. The choir has performed at numerous summer festivals, black tie benefits, special celebrations and its own self-produced concerts.

The new Winter Market on Hertel, housed in The Pasta Peddler/Blackbird Sweets location at 1547 Hertel Ave. in Buffalo, will take part in the 19th annual Hertel Holidays event on Saturday, Dec. 6. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through early April.

Sponsored by the Hertel-North Buffalo Business Association, Hertel Holidays is a family tradition that delights all the senses with twinkling displays, Santa Claus and unique shopping and dining experiences. Hertel’s boutiques, stores and galleries will take the stress out of your holiday shopping, and visitors will also discover great places to stop for a meal or a drink.

The holiday season is in full swing at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca!

From Dec. 5-7, Enjoy The Journey will be the only suburban gallery taking part in Artists in Buffalo’s 14th annual Holiday Open Studios & Galleries event. The gallery’s “Jingle Mingle” weekend — a unique three-day holiday celebration — will feature live music by Mari McNeil Jazz and a special “Soulful Bowlful” soup sale to benefit the West Seneca Community Food Pantry.

Celebrate ‘Santa Night’ at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café

 

A popular holiday event, “Santa Night” returns to Dog Ears Bookstore & Café from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. The nonprofit community bookstore is located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.

The annual event will feature crafts, a baked good sale hosted by employees of The Gap, some local authors signing books, a visit from Santa Claus and maybe even a surprise or two! There will also be special discounts offered on books, café items and more.
