Sports Card & Memorabilia Expo to Feature Appearances by Four Athletes

 

WNY Sports Card & Memorabilia Expo 16, the area’s largest biannual sports card and memorabilia show featuring 120 tables of merchandise, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Grapevine Banquet Hall (formerly the Hearthstone Manor), 333 Dick Road, Depew.

Church of the Annunciation to Host Harvest Festival

 

A three-day Harvest Festival featuring a wide variety of family friendly events and activities will be held at the Church of the Annunciation, 7580 Clinton St., Elma, Sept. 18-20.

A free Family Movie Night under a tent will kick things off at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, a blessing of animals will take place at 1 p.m., and from 6 to 10 p.m. the Genesee Valley Band will perform authentic German music. German and American beers will be available, along with food from Mikey Dee’s Food Truck and Boy Scout Troop 325.

Enjoy the Journey Art Gallery invites the public to the opening reception of the Evans Art Guild’s new “Gateways” exhibit taking place Friday, Sept. 11 at the gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca. Gateways are openings or entrances that guide us to someplace else, which entice us to explore somewhere different. Artists have always been fascinated with gateways and have interpreted them literally, as well as metaphorically.

West Seneca Farmers’ Market to Conclude Season with Customer Appreciation Day

 

Main Street Marketplace, West Seneca’s popular open-air farmers’ and food producers’ marketplace sponsored by the Western New York Federal Credit Union, will conclude its 2015 season with Customer Appreciation Day from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3.

The weekly market takes place on the grassy hill at the corner of Union Road and Main Street, next to West Seneca Town Hall. The outdoor venue features nearly 30 vendors selling a wide variety of products. In the event of unfavorable weather, the market moves into the parking lot in front of the West Seneca Ice Rink.

Fourth Annual Taste of East Aurora to Feature Numerous Eateries

 

The fourth annual Taste of East Aurora, featuring restaurants and food-related businesses with ties to the Greater East Aurora community, returns from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, on Main Street, from Olean Road to Riley Street.

“This is always a highly anticipated and well-attended event, and we expect a large crowd again this year,” said Gary Grote, executive director of the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce. “Our restaurants help make East Aurora a popular destination for both locals and tourists!”

West Seneca’s Outdoor Farmers’ Market Continues on Aug. 27

 

Main Street Marketplace, West Seneca’s popular open-air farmers’ and food producers’ marketplace sponsored by the Western New York Federal Credit Union, continues from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. The weekly event successfully kicked off its second season on May 14 and takes place Thursday evenings through Sept. 3 on the grassy hill at the corner of Union Road and Main Street, next to West Seneca Town Hall.
