The holiday season is in full swing at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca!

From Dec. 5-7, Enjoy The Journey will be the only suburban gallery taking part in Artists in Buffalo’s 14th annual Holiday Open Studios & Galleries event. The gallery’s “Jingle Mingle” weekend — a unique three-day holiday celebration — will feature live music by Mari McNeil Jazz and a special “Soulful Bowlful” soup sale to benefit the West Seneca Community Food Pantry.

The weekend begins with an opening reception for the “Creative Imagery” members’ exhibit from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and features refreshments and live music by Dana Eric Misenheimer.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, purchase a “Soulful Bowlful” of delicious homemade soup and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to West Seneca Community Food Pantry. Guests will also enjoy the smooth sounds of Mari McNeil Jazz singing holiday classics from 1 to 3 p.m. An art auction will also be featured, and visitors can purchase one-of-a-kind, handmade holiday gifts and meet the gallery’s friendly artists and instructors.

To cap off the weekend’s relaxing alternative to hectic holiday shopping, Enjoy The Journey will also be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.

The popular Wine, Women & Art class with Andrea Oswald returns from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. Participants will create a beautiful holiday “giving plate” decorated with a winter tree, snow and red cardinals. The cost of the class is $20 and includes all supplies, wine and tasty goodies.

“Holiday Bliss” with Blessings By Nature, a Plant Power Workshop where you will be enlightened about the power and wonderful history of everyday plants and herbs, takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Individuals attending this workshop will also create two sachets. The cost is $20 and space is limited, so call today to reserve your chair.

Altered Art Christmas Bulbs with artist Andrea Oswald is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. This is a great class for those who enjoy stepping outside of the box.  Participants will be working with three glass ornaments, molding paste, acrylic paints, glass beads and ribbon. The cost for the class is just $20.
