Depew Night Out to Double as Food Pantry Fundraiser | Community Spirit

Residents are invited to spend the evening with the Depew Police Department in a show of unity against crime.
Depew Night Out will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Firemen's Park, Terrace Boulevard at Erie Street, Depew. The police department is organizing the event, which will include displays and demonstrations from dozens of area agencies, from law enforcement to service organizations to community groups.
Hot dogs will be sold for $1 each, with the entire amount being donated to the Tri-Community Food Pantry.
The event will be part of the 29th annual National Night Out, which is celebrated by 15,325 communities. The national celebration is a year-long community building campaign designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
