John Kudla from Avenue Boys Smokehouse was the featured guest as Farmers & Artisans in Williamsville hosted a unique “Meet the Sausage Maker” event on Thursday, January 26. The store, which offers a mix of local produce and products, is located at 78 East Spring St.

Kudla offered samples of his smoked and fresh sausages. Approximately 20 guests at the event were also treated to a selection of New York State farmstead cheeses and Flying Bison Beer. 

Located in Pendleton, Avenue Boys Smokehouse specializes in handcrafted fresh and smoked sausages and other unique meat products. They do not use additives or chemical enhancements in their products — only meat and seasonings. Their smokehouse in North Tonawanda uses a real wood-burning fire to produce a genuine and unique flavor. The smoking process uses mostly applewood harvested from Niagara County orchards.

Opened in 2002, Avenue Boys Smokehouse is family owned and operated. Their products are also sold at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market in Buffalo and the North Tonawanda Farmers Market.

A wide variety of Western New York products can be purchased daily at Farmers & Artisans, where store hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
