Students Get Creative to Promote Mary Queen of Angels Open House

Students Get Creative to Promote Mary Queen of Angels Open House

Students, teachers and faculty members at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga were looking for a creative way to draw attention to their annual open house taking place on Tuesday, March 6. Little did they know that the answer was right at their fingertips!

School staffers ordered 50 blank real estate-style signs that have now been turned into mini-masterpieces and are scattered throughout neighborhoods in Cheektowaga, Buffalo, West Seneca and beyond. Created by individuals, groups and families, these signs all have one common element: promoting the school’s open house event that takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. March 6. The school is located at 170 Rosewood Terrace, Cheektowaga, near the intersection of Harlem Road and George Urban Boulevard.

West Seneca West High School's 'Beauty & the Beast' to open Wednesday

The classic tale of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is one that has resonated with many generations.

In a testament to that point, the film has been re-released this winter in digital 3D. As the movie is returning to the big screen, West Seneca West Senior High School is preparing to bring the story to life on stage this week.

The largest undertaking in many years, the musical production involves approximately 100 students as cast, crew and orchestra members. Making the musical a reality also requires the support of the rest of the school, which is widely involved in promoting the production.
