A new exhibit and a variety of exciting classes highlight the calendar throughout August and September at Enjoy the Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca.
“Dueling Aperture’s,” a photography exhibit by brother’s in law Phil McCabe and Richard Ricci, remains on display through Aug. 27. This unique exhibit showcases the wonderful talent and insight in everyday things we take for granted.
Wine Women & Art with Andrea Oswald takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, featuring a lighthouse beach design. All art supplies are included, plus wine, cheeses and desserts! For just $30, this is a great girl’s night out!
Garlic Basket Weaving with Maureen Quale will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. Participants will create two garlic baskets this evening, just in time for the holidays. The cost is $20.
Concrete Garden Leaves with Virginia Koeppel is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 and Tuesday, Aug. 30. Create a beautiful concrete leaf to decorate your garden, patio or deck! The cost is $30, and supplies needed for class are listed on the gallery’s website.
Suntangles with Kelly Barone will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Come and learn to create beautiful tangle fabric using the power of sunlight! Tangling is so much fun and now, use the power of positive and negative space to bring this into fabric art. The cost is $40, and participants must have taken the Zentangle 101 class.
Acrylic Painting with Bernice Smith will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27. This class is for beginner to gain some experience and is designed to make learning about acrylic painting a fun experience! You’ll get some pointers to make learning the medium stress-free and enjoyable. The cost is $80 and more information is available on the gallery’s website.
Wine, Women & Art with Andrea Oswald returns from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. Participants will design two beautiful wine glasses with a funky freeform design. This evening includes all art supplies plus the wine, cheeses, fruit and desserts, and the cost is $30.
Zentangle in Fall Leaf Designs with Kelly Barone will be offered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. Working tan tiles and introducing the colors of red, yellow and green – you will create a beautiful Zentangle design within maple, oak and other leaves! Zentangle 101 is a prerequisite, and the cost is $40.
Wine Basket Weaving with Maureen Quale is scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. Weave a beautiful basket that’s perfect for a bottle of wine and great for holiday gift giving! All supplies are included in the $40 cost.
Image Transfers with Sylvia Kleindinst will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. Sylvia will demonstrate using various materials and methods to create transfers; after she demonstrates, those in class will try out the methods. Brings photos or small pictures that you would like to use in this class. The cost is $20.
