Annunciation School Outlines Innovative Summer Camp Program

 

Annunciation School in Elma will once again offer its popular Summer Camp program from June 24 through Aug. 9, featuring weekly theme-based learning activities in a fun-filled and engaging environment.

From June 24-28, the theme will be “Going Green,” with students engaged in many activities that revolve around nature. The theme from July 1-5 will be “Bible Studies,” with students learning about many friends in both the Old and New Testament.

The London Beer & BBQ Show in nearby London, Ontario, promises to be the summer’s hottest event. At the very least, it should be the most delicious!

Come and sample Ontario's established culture of craft beers and local grillers and participate in a variety of sports, cooking demos and activities running throughout the weekend of June 21-22. The event will take place from noon to 10:30 p.m. both days in the Western Fair District Agriplex Building, located at 845 Florence St. in London.

NOCO Express Raises More than $20,000 for MDA

NOCO Express Stores, its customers, and employees recently made March a very lucky month for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) by donating a record $20,265 in the annual “Share the Shamrock Spirit” in-store campaign. From February 17 to March 17, customers could purchase a $1 paper shamrock at any of NOCO’s 35 locations to benefit MDA.

“As we celebrate 80 years in Western New York, NOCO is proud of our long tradition in supporting local organizations and the great work they do in our community,” said Michael Newman, executive vice president, NOCO.  “Thank you to our customers and employees who donated generously to support MDA and the services and programs they offer to those with muscle disease throughout our local communities.”

In 2012, NOCO customers and associates donated $13,115 through the “Share the Shamrock Spirit” campaign.
