St. Joe's 56 - St. Mary's 34

KENMORE, N.Y.- It was wet one in Kenmore, but a victorious one for St. Joe's as the Marauders down the Lancers 56-34, improving to 7-1.

St. Joe's was led by its backfield, per usual. Ilo Noble rushed for 202 yards on 18 carries including three touchdown runs of 58, 21 and 11.

Fellow running back Rod Payne rushed for 160 yards on 12 carries to go along with two rushing touchdowns. Payne also had a 65-yard touchdown catch.

Joe's rushed for 451 yards. That's not a typo.

St. Mary's running back Nick Vallone had another big performance, despite a losing effort. Vallone rushed for 155 yards and one touchdown and added an 82-yard kick return for a touchdown.

St. Joe's faces its toughest competitor of the season next week as the Marauders host the 8-0 Canisius Crusaders.

BBB: State AG Involved in FWS Furniture Complaints

BUFFALO, N.Y. - A spokeswoman for The Better Business Bureau of Buffalo tells 2 On Your Side that the New York State Attorney General's Office is now involved in the numerous customer complaints regarding the now closed FWS Home Furnishings stores.

Peggy Penders of the BBB says they are sharing the up to 70 complaints that came in to their office this year with the AG's office. Penders says some of the complaints involve checks which bounced for customer refunds for cancelled orders. Other upset customers like Yvette Hill have contacted wgrz.com because they paid hundreds of dollars and never got their furniture or other items.

FWS furniture has closed all three of its locations in Buffalo, Williamsville, and Orchard Park and a creditor has taken over the assets. That took effect on Tuesday.

They found Breymeier and the gun at his aunt's home on Alys Drive.

He was arrested without incident and is charged with one count each of robbery, menacing and larceny.

He was arraigned in the Village of Depew Justice Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center.

VFW Theme Party: Special Tribute Benefit in Honor of John Wahl

VFW Theme Party: Special Tribute Benefit in Honor of John Wahl

John had been the commander at the VFW Post until his sudden passing this summer. He was a special man, veteran and friend of ours. He would struggle down those stairs with crutches, neck brace or other ailments (& never complained) just to sit and watch us have so much fun at our parties. John started an elevator fund for the building and we hope to build that up in his honor. We will miss him.
So come, listen to great music from TWO Bands, dance, drink & laugh. Same party, but bigger. John will be checking in on us. Thanks !
