Pet Connection Announces Plans for 2012 Special Events

Pet Connection Programs Inc., a special care shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla, has announced plans for several major fundraising events taking place in 2012.

The annual Pre-Mother's Day Chicken Dinner and Concert will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Marilla Fire Hall, located at Two Rod Road and West Avenue. The event will include a huge Chinese auction, great door prizes, a visit from Mr. No — the Balloon Guy, and musical entertainment by the Easy Street Big Band! Tickets are presale only and priced at just $15 per person. Call 652-0192 today to reserve your place.

Annunciation Students Receive Class Rings

Eighth-grade students from Annunciation School in Elma received their class rings on Thursday, Dec.22, during a special Christmas Mass celebrated with family, teachers and classmates at Annunciation Church. West Seneca West Students Share Sounds of Season at Roswell

West Seneca West Students Share Sounds of Season at Roswell

West Seneca West Senior High School’s String Ensemble and Bel Canto Singers spread some holiday cheer through their gift of music.

The students performed for the patients, families and staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 16 in the RPCI atrium.

The performance drew quite an audience. Doctors, staff, patients and those visiting Roswell all stopped to enjoy the sounds of the season.
